We have an automated utility called Repair Tool that you can use to erase and reformat your Ultimate Backup drive. Please give it a try when you encounter the following errors:

• A JavaScript error occurred in the main process
• L501, L502 and L503 errors
• Error raised while initialize data service on your Ultimate Backup drive
• Error raised while initialize data service on your computer

Here's how to use it:

1. Connect the Ultimate Backup to your computer (do not open the LaunchUltimateBackup app)
2. Click this link to download the Repair Tool (if you are a Mac user, click this link instead)
3. Find the "RepairTool" file in your Downloads folder, and double click to open the Repair Tool

 
4. Click the gear icon in the top right corner

 
5. Click Reformat Drive (Support Only) in the dropdown menu


6. Click Find Drive

 
7. Click Start Repair

 
8. Make sure exFAT is the option selected, and then click OK at the bottom

 
The Repair Tool will let you know when the reformat is complete. Keep in mind that reformatting will erase any files currently stored on your Ultimate Backup.
